The competition is still coming in as Timberline's 4x400m anchor, Sara Shields, catches her breath during the 5A District 3 meet on May 12, 2007 at Mountain View High in Meridiian, ID. Timberline's relay team of Shanna Rippey, Kasey Barnhill, Lauren Schaffer and Sara Shields set a new 5A District 3 meet record with a time of 4:00.49. The old record of 4:01.07 was set by Meridian in 1998. One week later this relay team would go on to win the 5A 4x400m at the Idaho State Championship meet with a winning time 3:58.49 and Sara Shields would win a state title in the 800m with a time of 2:17.44.
